Final Cut Pro X

Ben McElroyBlog

The New Final Cut is being announced right now at NAB in Vegas as I type. The new version of Final Cut is being called Final Cut Pro X. Apparently it’s been “rebuilt from ground up” It features 64-bit support and can handle multi core editing. Which is good news! Now our 8-core machines can be use to their full potential. final cut pro x 2011

Here’s a few sweet features:

– Importing includes support for image stabilization.
– People detection
– Shot detection
– 4k support
– Audio scrubbing includes analysis and playback in real-time
– Built in pluraleyes functionality. (Too bad we dropped 200 for each system just recently)
– Instant color matching
– Color correction in the time line
– Ken burns effect (Just like iPhoto)
