We’re proud to launch the Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis 2011 video. This video has been in the making all summer with locations ranging from Washington DC, Boston and the west coast. Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis is CCFA’s largest fundraising event. Participants raise funds and awareness throughout the year and come together to celebrate the steps that have been taken towards a cure

World Habitat Day 2010
The United Nations has designated the first Monday in October as annual World Habitat Day.
McElroy Films just wanted to take a moment to bring awareness to World Habitat Day on October 4th 2010. Habitat for Humanity is a great organization and we’ve seen their work first had in our own state of Massachusetts. On Oct. 4, 2010, in recognition of World Habitat Day, Habitat for Humanitywill raise awareness of the need for improved shelter and highlight Habitat’s priorities: the worldwide connection between human health and housing, and, in the United States, neighborhood revitalization. These themes echo the United Nations’ chosen theme for 2010 for events in the host city of Shanghai, China and the rest of the world: “Better City, Better Life.”
Every week, more than a million people are born in, or move to, cities in the developing world. As a result, the urban population of developing countries will double from 2 billion to 4 billion in the next 30 years. (Kissick, et al: 2006)
By the year 2030, an additional 3 billion people, about 40 percent of the world’s population, will need access to housing. This translates into a demand for 96,150 new affordable units every day and 4,000 every hour. (UN-HABITAT: 2005)

McElroy Films Teams up with Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation Corporate New York
McElroy Films will produce three vignette videos to help promote the 2010 Take Steps for Crohn’s & Colitis. McElroy Films will be on location Friday for interviews and Saturday June 5, 2010 at the walk.
The Crohn’s and colitis community in Massachusetts is committed to continue awareness and fundraising efforts because we need to find better therapies and ultimately a cure for our friends and neighbors who struggle daily with these terrible digestive diseases.
