Whiteboard Videos vs. Regular Videos

There are pros and cons to using whiteboard or regular videos to market and advertise you business, product, or service, but how do you know which one is the right one for your business? There are pro’s and con’s to each approach depending on the use of the video.

Pros of Whiteboard Video

-Whiteboard videos can be written and designed in pre-production to be fun, attention grabbing and visually stimulating in order to convey the desired message or information.

They are simple, and offer no distractions such as multiple actors or images that may not connect with the viewer.

Whiteboard videos contain a very strong and specific call to action.

– These videos are unique and can be personalized to the specific business need.

Cons of Whiteboard Video

-The editing process can be long.

-Depending on the artist it can be expensive.

 

Pros of Regular Video

Regular videos offer the ability to give detailed images of an image or a product.  This would be important if you had a specific piece of equipment that you wanted the viewer to see exactly what it looked like.

-Regular videos allow you to incorporate multiple characters that can interact.

-These videos allow you to pick out all the specifics you would like to see in the end video. The actors/actresses, location, etc.

Cons of Regular Video

Regular videos, if done poorly or by a non-professional production group can make your company or product look bad.

-Just like whiteboard animation videos depending on the route you take it can get expensive

 Your product, service or business are unique and must be considered when deciding which type of video to use.  Some products, services or businesses lend themselves more to one type of video, so make sure when you are using video to inform or promote you pick the right outlet for yours.
