Kristina Ravanis

Kristina RavanisKristina joined the team this year after recently graduating Magna Cum Laude from Fairfield University.

She graduated with a degree in New Media with a focus in Television Production. She also minored in Studio Art and Spanish. Her passion for video production began freshman year of college when she joined the campus television station “The Ham Channel.” There she learned how to use various types of film equipment including cameras, lights, and audio. She then decided to major in Television Production where she would later take classes that focused on television theory, history, production, and graphic design.

Throughout her four years at Fairfield, Kristina produced and directed a number of student productions. She also produced and edited several music videos for the band The Alternate Routes. As a requirement for television majors during their senior year, students had to create their own short film. Entitled Night Owls, Kristina chose to make a video incorporating music and dance. The Visual and Performing Arts Department later selected the top films to be entered into a student film festival, Cinefest Fairfield, for which Kristina received this honor.

Kristina spent the last three summers interning and working for a variety of companies. For two summers, she interned at CBS Boston as an assistant for the show “What’s in Store” as well as being an assistant for editors of the daily news. In 2010, she was an editor for Reading Cable Television. Lastly, she interned at Green Lens Media, a film production company which also promotes eco-awareness.

Besides video production, Kristina has been dancing since she was 3 years old. She danced competitively until graduating from high school and then became a member of the Fairfield University Dance Ensemble. Currently she performs with DanceWorks Boston.

Kristina is excited to be an editor for McElroy Weddings. Realizing how memorable weddings are, she will work hard to create a personalized video so couples can treasure their special day forever.
