Elizabeth grew up around the media while her father was a photographer for the Lowell Sun. Her father’s documentary style photographs instilled in her the idea that the energy of the human experience can be translated through the media, especially visually. Throughout her life she has loved, and excelled at, writing. She puts the same creativity and energy into words that she has seen in visual images.

Elizabeth held an interest in writing even while pursuing classical ballet and modern dance and starting a family. She served on the Board of Directors of The Children’s Center at Purchase College as a dance major there. After college she owned a paint-your-own pottery studio and developed an understanding of small business management as well as media relations and marketing.

Elizabeth became interested in public relations at a La Leche League conference where she attended a session by Josh Bernoff. She put this knowledge to work almost immediately by accepting the position of Communications Manager for the nonprofit organization DiaperFreeBaby. She has created several campaigns for the organization including The DiaperFreeChallenge(TM). Elizabeth has written several of the organization’s websites’ content, brochures, press releases, and resources for both the organization and interested journalists.

She has worked on hundreds of media pieces including:

The Associated Press

The Today Show

American Baby magazine.

Recently Elizabeth took on the role of Public Relations Coordinator for La Leche League of MA/RI/VT. She serves on the conference committee for the Area Conference where she first found her love of public relations.

Elizabeth now brings her PR experience to McElroy Films. She draws from her knowledge of public relations, marketing, and nonprofit and small business management. She especially likes to be part of the communication process that helps understanding develop between people.

Elizabeth lives in Concord with her husband and five of her children. Her oldest son attends Purchase College in NY. In addition to public relations work Elizabeth enjoys dancing, pottery painting, and writing. She is working on several books, both fiction and non-fiction.
